Entrepreneurship Training
Advance Certificate in Photovoltaic System Installer is a competence based qualification which covers installing photovoltaic (PV) panels and systems into roofs, onto roofs or in non roof structures. It is suitable for those working in the installation of photovoltaic panels as PV Installers or Solar Panel Installers.
It covers communicating and working with others, working with PV systems, locating, preparing testing, handling, fixing and completing the installation of photovoltaic panels; the importance and requirements of health and safety are emphasised throughout the qualification.
Job Roll: Assessing the installation site job, understanding the principle of PV system, handling installation tools & equipments, understanding functions & process of installation materials, mounting and installing the panels at customer's premises as per design & specification, and ensuring effective functioning of solar energy system after installation.

Qualification for
This qualification is aimed at those who work as Installers of Photovoltaic Panels, primarily in domestic properties.
Candidates for this qualification will primarily be working on customer's premises carrying out the installation of Photovoltaic Panels.

Admission Eligibility: Minimum Educational Qualifications: 10+2 Pass, at least 18 years of age. N.B. IST reversed the right for admitting less qualified through an entrance examination conducted by IST and subsequently attending 1 or 2 days preparatory classes before commencement of the actual course classes.
